In this clip, Smooth B spoke about being raised in the Bronx , which was in bad shape in the 1970s and 80s, and he recalled playing in abandoned buildings and using mattresses as trampolines. He explained that his father passed away when he was 9, leaving his mother to raise 5 kids on her own. Smooth B also spoke about joining in on the 1977 blackout, and meeting Bobby Brown. He detailed going to the studio to meet up with Bobby and LL Cool J walking in the studio. After spitting some lines, Smooth B and Bobby Brown became good friends, and Smooth B worked and wrote songs for his debut album.
