6:35Now PlayingIn this VladTV Flashback from 2014, Vivid Entertainment's CEO Steven Hirsch opens up about the success that the company has had with celebrity sex tapes, which he said started with the Pamela Anderson/ Tommy Lee tape, but was "broke wide open" with Kim Kardashian and Ray J. Hirsch was asked about the legality of putting out a tape without the consent of the parties in the video, which led to a conversation of obtaining Kim Kardashian's sex tape.
Steven admits that he was approached by a third party with the video, and explains that he then came to Kim about putting the tape out. After offering her a several million dollar deal, Kim agreed to release the tape, because as Steven explains, there was the chance of it leaking on the internet, where she would get no money.
