In this clip, Chingy spoke about writing his own lyrics when he was around 6 or 7, and he revealed that he recorded his first song at just 9-years-old. Chingy revealed that his first rap name “Slickso” came from him shutting down everyone in rap battles in his city, and Chingy went on to speak about his older cousin putting him on a song called “Knuckle Up” at 9. After spitting his verse from the song, Chingy spoke about being in a rap group at 12, which he said had local hits and were opening up for Outkast and other big acts.
