Quentin explained that he’s not opposed to writing for other artists, and he added that he prefers to work with artists 1-on-1. Quentin went on to speak about the frustrations of writing for artists, which led to him revealing how he met Drake. Quentin explained that they met through a mutual friend, and he explained that they were both in the same mindset when it came to making music, which led to them working together. Quentin stated that working with Drake, who he considers one of the biggest artists in the world, is a highlight of his life. From there, Quentin explained that he didn’t want to reveal the exact details about how the songs came together, and he added that he’s very proud of the songs that he worked on. Quentin then added that there’s a “stain” on the legacy of “IYRTITL” after it was revealed that Quentin worked with Drake on songs. Quentin went on to explain that there will always be controversy attached to the project, which led to Vlad pointing out that lots of famous rappers, including Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, have had writers on their songs.
