In this clip, Ed Lover discussed how shrewd of a businessman Michael Jackson was and how he warned artists about the pitfalls of the music industry. Ed said that Michael Jackson’s ownership of The Beatles publishing, in addition to other catalogs he owned, not only made him uber-rich but also dangerous. Later, Ed spoke about the unfortunate trend of artists dying at such an early age and detailed why they need to start adding some balance to their music instead of feeding listeners never-ending stories about drugs and violence.
