The outspoken on-air personality states that he's been in the media since he was 14 years old before initially revealing that he wanted to be a news producer. He also explains that his knack for debating stems from his family dynamics as a child. As the conversation unfolds, Roland recalls the details of pledging as a college student before recalling his debut on CNN, where he famously predicted how great he'd be on-camera before it happened. He then shares what it was like to negotiate his contract with the global media outlet.

Elsewhere in the interview, Roland addresses the controversy involving him, "POLITICO," TV One, and Hillary Clinton's previous Presidential campaign. The 54-year-old also reflects back on the societal impact of Barak Obama's Presidential inauguration and the smear campaign that ensued shortly after that.
