In this clip, Boosie shared his personal and emotional involvement in YNW Melly's trial. Boosie confessed that he was close to the defendant, who even paid for his meals and gifts. Boosie fondly shared that he had met Melly's mother during the trial, noting that she was a good woman despite her challenges. He also criticized the fact that a death penalty could be imposed with an 8-4 jury verdict in his state. Boosie revealed his further resentment claiming that the trial had been intentionally delayed to allow a controversial law to pass. The new law aimed to facilitate convictions, enabling penalties to be imposed with a 10-2 jury verdict - something Boosie was also subjected to. Boosie termed the majority to death penalty law as being "terrible" and a "unanimous decision".
