The ongoing Georgia RICO case where Rudy Giuliani and 18 others have been indicted was discussed in this clip. Contrary to claims from the prosecutor that the trial would start in six months, Alan Dershowitz asserted this was a blatant lie due to the sheer complexity and amount of documentation involved in the case. He went on to challenge the notion of the now-infamous phone call from Donald Trump to Georgia's Secretary of State as a "smoking gun" of guilt. Instead, he argued that Trump's request to "find" votes hinted at innocence, as it suggested the votes already existed, rather than being fabricated. Moving onto whether Trump could halt the case if re-elected, he expressed doubt that Trump could stop federal cases or pardon himself without political backlash. He also speculated that Trump's re-election was unlikely unless a third party candidate split the democratic vote.
