Mike Campi and Dan Dorsky shared insight into their three-year undercover work with Michael D'Urso, an associate of the powerful Genovese crime family. Mike would record and analyze lengthy conversations with D'Urso daily, addressing different subjects as they arose, including a scheme related to stock fraud. D'Urso was instrumental in uncovering activities that eventually led to the downfall of the Genovese family's leadership. This was deemed by the FBI as potentially the most successful undercover operation in law enforcement history. D'Urso, despite admitting to murder in 1998, ultimately received no prison time owing to his significant role in combating organized crime. His involvement not only led to the breakdown of the Genovese family's leadership but also significantly impacted other major criminal organizations, including Gambino, Lucchese, Columbo, and Bonanno families.
