Rapper Lil Rob talks about his upbringing and early career in San Diego. He recalls how the area was segregated during his grandmother's time and was home to Mexican farmworkers. Lil Rob also shares tales of his early passion for music and performing, which started when he was just a young child. This led him to begin rapping and producing his own music and handing out his first vinyl record when he was 16. Despite his humble beginnings, Lil Rob believes that his family-centric and closely-knit upbringing in Eden Gardens played a significant role in shaping his identity and career today.
