--------

Rapper Lil Rob talked about his beginnings in the hip-hop industry during his teenage years. Despite coming from a hectic neighborhood, Rob's music was primarily non-violent, preferring to focus on local issues. The rapper also discussed his experiences in Tijuana, where he once landed in jail following an incident at a club called Magic. In his early career, Rob interacted with labels like Thump Records, but lost out some opportunities due to personal differences, including his refusal to airbrush art on his overalls - a popular trend among Hispanic emcees of the time. Yet he persisted in his music, and still remembers the thrill of hearing his songs played in cars when he was just starting out.
