Louis Ferrante, a former associate of the Gambino crime family and host of Discovery Channel's Gangsters Caught, recently opened up about his past in an interview with VladTV. Born and raised in Queens, Ferrante admitted to living a life of crime that began with joyriding and car thefts before graduating to the more serious crime of armed robbery and hijacking. While his family had their share of minor legal troubles, Ferrante's turn to the Mafia was certainly a significant departure. His shift from petty theft to armed robbery and hijacking marked a critical turning point in his criminal career, eventually leading to prison time. Ferrante candidly admitted regret about his past actions, acknowledging the fear and distress he must have caused others. Crediting the prison system and legal studies for his eventual turnaround, Ferrante now views his criminal past and subsequent prison time as a critical part of personal growth and maturity.
