French Montana has shared the reasons behind his decision to release multiple versions of each song on his mixtape "Mac & Cheese 5." He said that apart from the original song, every track has four additional versions, including instrumental, sped-up, slowed-down, and acapella versions. This decision stemmed from fan requests and the booming trend on Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms to use different versions of songs. Contrary to common speculation, he revealed that these versions were not released to boost first-week sales as they do not count toward this. He also stated that since there have been unnecessary discussions over this, he may stop releasing different versions in the future. The mixtape, which is fully independent and featured numerous big names, debuted at number four, a noteworthy accomplishment for a mixtape. French Montana has hinted at a forthcoming album and a documentary by the end of the year.
