The Patina Collective recently showcased a $1 million Mercedes SL73 that formerly belonged to the Sultan of Brunei. This incredibly rare vehicle features a 7.3-liter V12 engine, the same powerhouse found in the iconic Pagani Zonda. According to Vico, one of the co-founders, AMG custom-made numerous vehicles for Brunei’s royal family, leveraging the Sultan's extensive $5 billion car collection of roughly 5,000 vehicles. The SL73, distinct with its exclusive “SL 73” badge and right-hand drive, is a pinnacle of 1990s AMG engineering.
