FBG Young opened up about surviving two shootings. The first incident occurred when Young was 19, while hanging out in his neighborhood. A car drove by and opened fire, hitting him in the back. Despite the traumatic experience and Lil JoJo's recent death from a similar wound, Young didn't feel like he was going to die but was aware of the potential severity of his injury. Two years later, Young was shot again in almost identical circumstances, this time in the hip and groin. This incident was more painful, but Young remained calm, especially compared to his friend who was also wounded. Both times, he refused to identify his attackers to the police. Reflecting on these events, Young acknowledged the dangers of his environment but didn't contemplate moving away. He believed that, despite the risks, staying put and focusing on his music was his best path forward, seeing his survival as a second chance to take his career seriously.
