Bella Barcode recounted her journey through the legal system and life behind bars. Arrested in Virginia, a Commonwealth state, Bella found herself without bond and fought her case for eight months, finally accepting a plea deal without a lawyer. Convicted of conspiracy and unauthorized access device charges, Bella was sentenced to 84 months. Reflecting on her first night in federal prison, she described feeling terrified, thinking of her children, and regretting her past decisions. Despite the circumstances, Bella remained resourceful, running a contraband business from within, with her mother allegedly helping smuggle items into the prison.
