Kooda B on Serving 3 Years After 6ix9ine Snitched for Arranging $30K Chief Keef Hit (Flashback)

In 2023, Kooda B recounted growing up in violent Brownsville, witnessing a shooting at nine, and not being gang-affiliated despite the neighborhood climate. He met Tekashi 6ix9ine in early 2017 while lightly pursuing rap; 6ix9ine later titled the song “Kooda” after him, but Kooda said he wasn’t part of the core crew during many headline incidents. He was eventually charged for arranging, not committing, the June 2018 shooting at Chief Keef after 6ix9ine was filmed offering a “30 pack.” Kooda pled guilty to assault with a deadly weapon in aid of racketeering, received 54 months, and served about three and a half years total. He was released in March 2023 with time credits under the First Step Act. He regretted trusting 6ix9ine and stated he was on supervised release, focusing on music and staying out of trouble.
