Discussing the possibility of strikes around Memorial Day weekend, Irving noted it could serve as a morale booster for troops but admitted it would also carry political risks. On the GOP’s future, Irving was blunt: “No,” saying only significant improvements in inflation or a breakthrough on Iran could salvage the party before the midterms. Overall, Irving painted a picture of a leadership struggling amid geopolitical tension and domestic economic challenges, leaving Trump's legacy fraught and uncertain.
