In a blunt interview with Shawn Prez, former Army Ranger and sniper Nicholas Irving criticized America’s global image, leadership, and domestic priorities. Discussing Donald Trump’s past claim that Iran “never won a war, but never lost a negotiation,” Prez argued that the U.S. now appears weak both militarily and diplomatically.
Irving agreed, saying America’s enemies may no longer fear the U.S. because they believe they only need to “outlast” it. He challenged the idea of American exceptionalism, saying the country constantly calls itself “the best” while failing in basic areas like healthcare, education, and military strategy.
Irving emphasized that he still loves America but believes better leadership could make the country live up to its ideals. The conversation also turned to Trump family business ventures, with Prez accusing political leadership of functioning more “for profit” than “for the people.”
