- Digital Medications and ADHD
After a 1 minute recap of the video, I’ll be available for questions on this topic or any other related to Mental Health.
- Digital Medications and ADHD:
Digital medications refer to traditional medications that are paired with a computerized device, usually to track when a patient actually consumes each pill. Numerous studies show that digital medications can improve consistency of taking medications, and that patients often feel this electronic surveillance is less intrusive than human interventions. A digital medication form of Abilify was available for several years but is now off the market. Digital medications might be particularly helpful for ADHD, reducing missed doses because of poor attention or tracking. But privacy, cost, and other issues have kept digital medications from invading the market - so far.
