0:24Now PlayingPorn Miswires Bedroom Expectations 🛏️
From the brain’s perspective, dopamine drives motivation. When your system gets used to high stimulation, your brain begins chasing intensity instead of connection.
That shift changes what happens in the bedroom. Instead of experiencing intimacy with a partner, your brain starts searching for the kind of novelty and stimulation it learned elsewhere. Many of those behaviors come from what the brain repeatedly consumed, not from real relational connection.
Over time, your brain feels tired. Motivation drops, focus drops, and suddenly you feel the urge for another dopamine hit just to keep going.
Thanks to Curtis Phillips for having me in this conversation. These are the kinds of discussions that help people understand what’s really happening in the brain.
