The plant employed 3,200 Nebraskans in a town of 10,000 people before it shuttered on January 20. “They are not violating the Stockers Packyards [Act],” Ricketts told Drop Site’s Julian Andreone, mangling the name of the law that could protect the town from total devastation.
Ricketts had previously told reporters he was “taking a look at” whether Tyson violated the law, as his independent opponent Dan Osborn has alleged.
