On Saturday, South Korean lawmakers voted to impeach the president over his botched martial law attempt. He has been supended while the country's top court decides whether to remove him from office. Opposition leader Lee Jae-myung said in a press conference that a swift decision by the court will help alleviate the national turmoil.
