Footage verified by the Reuters news agency shows a new explosion early on Monday in the coastal region of Tartus. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the Israeli military attacked air defenses and missile storage sites there. The region is also home to Russia's only naval base in the Mediterranean.
