Rubio urged Sharif to help India investigate the massacre of 26 people in the disputed territory. India has blamed Pakistan for the killings, but Islamabad denies involvement. Fears of a war between the two nuclear-armed neighbors are growing as both countries have cancelled visas for each country's citizens, and have traded cross-border fire, with India closing its airspace to Pakistani planes. On Monday, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khuwaja Muhammad Asif claimed its military had evidence that India was planning a military assault against it.
