President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the attack among the most horrific the capital had seen since the war began. He said Russia launched more than 440 drones and 32 missiles, striking residential areas, educational institutions and critical infrastructure. Further deaths were reported from strikes on Odesa, Sumy and Kherson. Russia's army said it targeted military industrial sites.
