After being handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross, they were transferred to hospitals for medical assessments. Images show Eitan Mor and Guy Gilboa-Dalal being reunited with their families earlier today.
In exchange for the hostages, Israel is expected to release over 1,900 jailed Palestinians held in Israel as part of a hostage-prisoner exchange deal agreed by Israel and Hamas.
In the occupied West Bank cheering crowds greeted buses of released Palestinian prisoners. Israel says it has released more than nineteen hundred Palestinian prisoners and detainees as part of the ceasefire deal.
US President Donald Trump welcomed the release of the hostages in his lengthy address to the Knesset. Trump said Monday's events would be remembered as the historic dawn of a new Middle East.
