YouTube Description
as posted by the channelUkraine says it will claim billions of dollars in compensation from Russia to support climate-friendly reconstruction after the war.
Speaking at the UN climate summit in Brazil, Ukraine's Deputy Economy Minister said Russia was generating so-called "conflict carbon" by attacking energy infrastructure, and destroying forests and buildings. A report from a research group, funded by Sweden and Germany, estimates the invasion has already produced nearly 237 million tons of carbon dioxide. That's equivalent to the annual greenhouse gas emissions of several European countries combined.
