YouTube Description
as posted by the channelSouth Africa’s Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola thinks that his country’s genocide case against Israel has changed the public’s consciousness. South Africa brought the case before the International Court of Justice in December 2023. Since then many countries have joined South Africa in its condemnation of Israel’s military operation in the Gaza Strip, which Israel started following the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2o23. Hamas is designated a terrorist organization in many countries, including Germany. In an interview with DW’s Political Correspondent Simon Young, Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola also addresses the allegations by US President Donald Trump of white South African farmers being persecuted. He denies claims that the South African government is more concerned with foreign conflicts than with the daily struggle of its citizens.
