19:17Now PlayingRussian President Vladimir Putin concluded his two-day visit with China's Xi Jinping, stating that Russian-Chinese relations are at an "unprecedentedly high level." However, not everything went according to plan. Putin arrived in Beijing hoping to secure a major gas pipeline deal, which is seen as vital for Russia's economic future. We ask Mikhail Alexseev, professor of Political Science at San Diego State University, and American foreign policy analyst Ryan Hass for an assessment.
