Local shops rush to fill Valentines orders

1:22Now PlayingSTAND UP – I’m Natalia Hepworth at the Rose shop, and I’m seeing how they along with other local shops prepare for the Valentines Day Rush.
SOT: “It’s not stressed, it’s not really, it’s just today is. Oh mercy! We’re gonna make it. Trust me we are,” Sarah’s Candy Cottage employee Angel said.
SOT: “Hundreds, lot of orders,” The Rose Shop manager Clark Higham said.
VO: Clark Higham, manager at the Rose shop says they order in several truck loads of flowers and other products to keep up with holiday requests.
SOT: "One year we had a man who wanted to send a dozen roses arranged every half hour, on the hour to his sweet heart,” Higham.
VO: Like the fast paced workers at The Rose Shop, employees at Sarah’s Candy Cottage said they’re feeling the love this Valentine’s season.
SOT: “The big rush is chocolate dipped strawberries, we’ll have those all day Friday and Saturday,” Owner Liz Yasaitis says. “We use Belgium chocolate. We import the chocolate, everything is hand dipped, hand decorated, and then we have beautiful boxes you can put them in.”
VO: In spite of the mad dash for roses and chocolate owners say their shops will be stocked. The Rose Shop is taking requests for Sunday deliveries if people want their order on Valentines Day.
SOT: “If you think it’s too late, it’s not too late we’re here for you. We can take care of your sweetheart this Valentines day,” Higham said.
SOT: “I’m feeling the love, come on down! Come on down, we give you a hug with your chocolate, oh yeah!,” Lopez.
