3:21Now PlayingAshley and Jace Alvarez are the young parents of three children who have been through a lot this year. Ashley suffered a stroke, had several heart surgeries and during her last pregnancy came down with some very serious health conditions.
During all of this, Ashley and Jace have worked with extended family members and friends to make sure their kids are cared for. Jace has been working part time to help care for the family and transport Ashley to the hospital for medical procedures and appointments.
They have tried their best to be self-sufficient and are loved by many people.
When Secret Santa heard about the Alvarez family, he asked the EastIdahoNews.com elves to go pay them a visit with a special gift.
