St. Anthony teen puts Idaho on the map at national 4-H shooting competition

2:27Now PlayingST. ANTHONY -- Megan Miller is the picture of calm as she's laying stomach down, in a prone position looking through her sights, preparing to strike the target with a perfect shot.
"For me, shooting is just for fun, it’s a sport it’s what I do every day. I’m a shooter, that’s who I am now," Megan says.
Prone is one of the three positions she shoots in during her best event at shooting competitions along with the standing and kneeling positions. With her sturdy canvas jacket and pants, Megan remains perfectly still with only her heartbeat as a distraction.
“As you can see they're not the most pretty things in the world, nothing says fashion like cardboard,” Megan says.
Because of her skill in shooting Megan and two Boise teens competed in the 2019 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships in Grand Island, Nebraska.
The 17-year-old individually placed third at nationals in the small-bore rifle three-position event, the same event her team placed third in as well.
