The actress plays the role of a girl named, Rani, who hails from a remote village in Bihar but is very crystal clear in her thoughts, has a sharp mind, and wants to achieve her dream. Speaking about playing this character, Anushka said that since she has always been a city girl, essaying the role of a rural girl was a 180-degree switch for her, and quite challenging. But Anushka is happy to explore and learn the traits of Rani, and is enjoying it. The actress, who was earlier seen in Jhansi Ki Rani and Baalveer says that she learnt the dialect and accent correct from her father. Apart from this, Anushka also spoke about how she gathered her thoughts and convinced herself to step out of the house and resume shooting.
