Ajay Devgn gets trolled for riding a palki during Sabarimala visit; here's why actor avoided stairs

Now, a video showing Ajay Devgn riding a palki while coming down from Sabrimala temple stairs has gone viral recently. Social media users trolled the actor for not taking stairs himself and left some harsh comments while sharing the video. Some of them read, 'Action hero can't walk', 'It would have been better to write a letter to Ayyappan with a full size photo'. Now, a source close to the actor has revealed the reason behind Ajay's decision of taking a palki. The source said that it was done due to some security-related and health issues. He further added, 'This was mainly done to avoid any gathering or chaos keeping in mind the safety of all the devotees coming to the temple. Apart from this, Ajay Devgn who is an action hero, has had multiple leg injuries over the years. Going by what his doctor has recommended, he has been asked to avoid walking for longer duration since he is currently being treated for the same.' However, earlier, Ajay did everything that was necessary to go there for a pilgrimage. A source told ETimes, 'For 11 days, Ajay wore black clothes and slept on a chattai on the floor. The actor trekked the hills from Pamba along with a team of pilgrims and paid obeisance at the temple and did Ayyappa Pooja twice a day. Ajay walked barefoot and ate only vegetarian food without any garlic/onion. He didn’t consume alcohol or use any perfume.' Meanwhile on the work front Ajay Devgn will be next seen in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'Runway 34', 'Maidaan', and 'Thank God'.
