Anushka Sharma pens a special poem for daughter Vamika as she spends time away from her due to work

Anushka Sharma, who was last seen on big screen in the 2018-film ‘Zero’, is making a comeback as an actor with ‘Chakda Xpress’. In her 4-year sabbatical from acting, the diva completed her producer duties with digital projects and also became a mother to her and husband Virat Kohli’s little munchkin Vamika. And now that Anushka is back on the film sets, she is spending some time away from her daughter as she is prepping for the role of a cricketer. The ‘Sui Dhaaga’ actress recently took to her Instagram stories to share a poem which speaks about a mother who is trying to be the best version of herself. The poem read, “Dear child, I spend so much time trying to figure out how to be the best mother to you. I know I won’t always get it right. But what I can promise is that no matter what… I’ll meet you where you are. Not where I want you to be. Not where I think you should be. Not where you will be. But right where you are, at this very moment.” ‘Chakda Xpress’ is Anushka’s first project after embracing motherhood. She gave birth to Vamika in 2021.In another story, the actress shared a picture of her sipper showing how she is back to drinking protein shakes after a long time due to her film’s schedule. She wrote, “Drinking protein shakes after a hundred years because…bowling.” Anushka has been treating fans to BTS photos and videos from her preparation of becoming a cricketer. In ‘Chakda Xpress’, Anushka plays the former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami. Talking about the role, Anushka in a recent interview had said, ‘As a woman, I was proud to hear Jhulan’s story and it is an honour for me to try and bring her life to audiences and cricket lovers.
