Suchitra Krishnamoorthi gets candid about asking Ram Gopal Varma to marry her

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi who was earlier married to Shekhar Kapur has worked with Ram Gopal Varma in films like ‘Rann’ and ‘My Wife’s Murder’. In her autobiography ‘Drama Queen’, the actress/singer has recalled asking RGV to marry her through a text message and how he rejected her advances and told her that he uses women only ‘for sex’. Reportedly, he also told her that he likes women’s ‘bodies’ but not their ‘brains’. ‘In my opinion, women should be seen and not heard’, RGV had allegedly told Suchitra. However, in a recent interview with Bollywood Thikana, Suchitra has said that it was all a joke. She reportedly said, ‘It happened, but it happened as a joke… How can anybody be serious about marrying Ram Gopal Varma? He’s a very nice man, but he got so scared by my message. That is even funnier.’ She further added, ‘He took me very seriously, he got so scared. He called me to his office and explained what a nice girl I was, and how he’s a very horrible guy and I shouldn’t think about all this… I said, ‘Ramu, it was just a joke.’ Even he took it seriously.’ Suchitra was married to Shekhar Kapur from 1999-2007 before the couple filed for a divorce and the former had blamed Preity Zinta for their separation. In the same interview when she was asked if she has forgiven the ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ actress, Suchitra reportedly said ‘I don't need to…’
