Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra fail to wish Katrina Kaif on her birthday; netizens express anger

Katrina Kaif recently celebrated her 40th birthday on July 16, 2023 and wishes poured in for her from fans and friends on social media. The actress also reposted a bunch of birthday wishes that she received on Instagram Stories and thanked everyone. From Anushka Sharma to Kareena Kapoor to Kiara Advani, several B-Town celebs wished Kat on her special day and she also replied with a ‘Thank you’ to them. However, a section of netizens pointed out how the ‘Tiger’ actress did not receive any birthday wishes from Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra. Some Reddit users also shared pictures of Katrina’s birthday wishes to the two actresses and criticised them for not returning the gesture. A user wrote, ‘Katrina please don't wish them on their next birthday’, while another one wrote ‘If a colleague makes it a point to publicly wish other colleagues, it’s good manners to return the gesture.’ One of the netizens hinted at the ‘Jee Le Zara’ controversy and wrote ‘Maybe something happened during jlz? Might be the reason why pc and Kat left the movie (acc to reports)’. Another comment read, ‘Something tells me that there was some drama around JLZ not happening’. To give a little background, Katrina, Alia and Priyanka were supposed to star together in the much-hyped Farhan Akhtar-directorial ‘Jee Le Zara’ but PeeCee and Kat have reportedly walked out of the project due to unknown reasons.
