And with the film's release, it has also sparked controversy as a section of netizens and Hindu organizations are not impressed with Akki's portrayal of Lord Shiva's messenger. A Hindu outfit in Agra has reportedly announced Rs 10 lakh prize money for anyone who slaps or spits on Khiladi of Bollywood for hurting the sentiments of the people. On the other hand, the Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat also protested and burned down Akshay's effigies and the film's posters while demanding the immediate halt of the movie's screening. The protestors also said they would not back down from demonstrating before theatres. Earlier, spiritual leader Sadhvi Ritambhara, who is associated with various Hindu organizations, also expressed her concerns about the film and said, 'OMG 2' and similar Bollywood movies were consequences of the casual attitude towards Hinduism. If Bollywood continues to do this, Hindus will protest against it on the roads. Devotion to Lord Shiva is not a joke.'
