2:19Now PlayingA social media post claiming that actor-turned-politician Divya Spandana 'died due to heart attack' left her family, friends and fans in a state of shock and it created a stir on social media. Within a few minutes Divya Spandana's death news started trending on social media.
The fake news was put to rest by a tweet by the Chairman of Congress' IT Cell saying, 'Our beloved Former Social Media Chairperson Ms. Divya Spandana is ABSOLUTELY FINE. Rumors and some TV channel news are 100% WRONG.' A while later, Divya spoke to a news portal, The News Minute and expressed her disbelief saying, 'I am shocked at the irresponsible reporting. It reflects on the times we are living in. I don’t even know how to react to this. What am I to say? ‘I’m alive’ !! I’m now having to give quotes that I am alive. So bizarre. And between it’s happened twice before- just to get a reaction from me because TRP comes so cheap. At least I got a glimpse of what would happen if I really did die' The information was first shared on the page of a PRO, who has now deleted the post.
