Khalistan row: Canada-based singer Shubh faces backlash in India; Virat Kohli unfollows him

Canada-based singer Shubhneet Singh, known for his stage name Shubh who is touring multiple cities in India in the upcoming days is facing huge backlash ahead of his visit. According to reports, several members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BYJM) have accused the singer of supporting separatist Khalistani elements. Shubh’s Instagram Story during the Punjab police’s hunt of fugitive Amritpal Singh showing a distorted map of India (without Punjab and Jammu-Kashmir) has also gone viral on the internet. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli who was seen grooving to Shubh’s songs in the past has also un-followed him on social media, as per reports. Demanding a cancellation of his shows India, President of BJYM Mumbai reportedly told a news portal ‘There is no space for Khalistanis who are the enemy of the integrity and unity of India. We won’t allow Canadian singer Shubh to perform in the auspicious land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mumbai. If no proper action is taken, then the organizers will have to face our opposition.’ Another netizen shared pictures of Shubh along with his posts of distorted India map & Chandrayaan-3 success, and penned ‘Khalistani Canadian rapper and singer Shubhneet Singh, better known by his stage name Shubh, had earlier shared a distorted map of India, which did not include J&K, North-East, Punjab. Do you know why he is now celebrating the success of Chandrayaan-3? Because he is coming to India on his concert tour. He is being allowed to enter India and earn lakhs of money from Indians, the very people whose country he has defamed. He will use this money in his Khalistani propaganda against India. Don't be fooled by these Khalistani singers, they just want their audience from both the sides.’
