According to reports, Mitali who went into depression later was once caught stealing on the roads of Mumbai. It was also reported that she abused the lady police officer who arrested her and tried to run away. Reportedly, Mitali’s family abandoned her after she had moved to Mumbai. The actress was admitted to a mental asylum in Thane by the police and was also spotted begging on the streets, stated reports.
