The movie has already crossed the 300-crore mark worldwide, turning out to be a massive hit. However, while many are heaping praise on the film, some are even criticising the gritty crime thriller for showing extreme violence, toxic masculinity, and bold content. Amid this, ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has come out in support of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial 'Animal.' In an interview with News18 Showsha, the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' director said, 'I’m yet to watch Animal. But I’m aware of the conversations happening online. Nobody has the right to tell a filmmaker what kind of films they should and shouldn’t make.' He added, 'People in this country get easily offended with films. They get offended by my films too. But I expect educated people to not get offended at the drop of a hat.' Recalling the similar sort of criticism Vanga faced during 'Kabir Singh', Kashyap shared, 'Filmmakers have the right to make any film they want to and represent what they want.
