A part of the statement read, 'The ban in Gulf countries comes as a surprise, particularly considering the region’s thriving tourism industry and the continued presence of Indian movies being filmed there. The disparity between Bollywood’s contribution to the Gulf’s entertainment industry and the lack of access to Indian films in its theatres is glaring. While Indian cinema enjoys a dedicated fan base in the region, the absence of films like ‘Article 370’ emphasises a concerning trend of censorship and limited cultural exchange.' On February 25, 'Article 370' witnessed a surge in its numbers and is steadily approaching the Rs 25-crore milestone in India. Helmed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, 'Article 370' hit theaters on February 23. This isn't the first movie; a while ago, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's 'Fighter' was also denied release in all Gulf countries except the UAE.
