Trump Has Destroyed His Chances Of Running For President Again

The latest round of polling data has some very bad news for Donald Trump. His support among Republicans is plummeting, and his overall approval rating is now sitting in the low 30's. According to the latest round of polling that has come out since last week's insurrection on the capital support for Donald Trump is essentially at an all time low right now, his approval rating within the Republican party is 77%. Now I know that's still a lot, right? I mean, you're talking about over three quarters of the Republican party still says, heck yeah, that's my guy. That is one of the lowest the Donald Trump, if not the lowest he has ever recorded among support from just the Republican party, his overall support from the public as a whole is 33% is what his approval rating has fallen to. Only a third of the country says, yes, I like what is happening. But perhaps the biggest and most important poll is the 2024 Republican presidential field poll. Because prior to last Wednesday, Donald Trump had 53% of Republicans and Republican leaning independents who said, yes, I would vote for him again.

If he ran in 2024, that number this week has now dropped to 40%, a 13 point drop in less than seven days because of his actions, because of his egging on of the insurrection. Now it is also possible that this number is going to go even lower following impeachment. It is likely that the number will in fact go lower following the second impeachment, especially if enough Republicans are on board with it, uh, in the house. And of course in the Senate during the trial. So if that happens, we can expect that number to go from 40 to even lower. But the fact that he no longer has a majority of Republicans willing to say yes, I will definitely vote for him. That's a problem for him. Now, maybe not as big of a problem as you might think, right? I mean, obviously he still leads the pack.

I mean, the next closest person to him is Mike Pence with 18%. So he holds a 22 point advantage, uh, over the number two spot. And nobody else is cracking double digits at this point. So yeah, he's got a very comfortable lead, but again, things are in motion right now that are happening very fast. I mean, the news is changing by the hour about what is happening with this man and his potential future here. So he is in trouble, but I think overall, we don't even need the polls to tell us this, right? We know this, we can see what's happening. The world, the entire world witnessed Donald Trump's supporters storm, the U S Capitol. They saw how crazy these people are. You had world leaders, you know, you had a British minister, you had NATO, you had France, you had, uh, Scotland, you had all of these or Ireland.

Excuse me. All of these world leaders, European leaders, mostly come out and condemn the actions that took place in Washington, DC. And they all know, and they all see who is responsible for this, but it's not just the world leaders that's outside, right? They don't get to vote. The public did as well. And that is why his approval rating as a whole is at 33%. That is weak. That is pathetic. And those are not numbers that are going to win you a general election. And this, uh, all this horribleness is happening at a time in his administration where it's going to be the last memory we have of him. And that's, what's powerful because as I repeatedly say, over the years, people forget things very quickly. You only remember the last thing that happened. Well, this is the last thing that happened. And Trump better hope that people get really, really drunk over the next four years. And just totally forget it. Otherwise this will be a stain that will be on his legacy for all of eternity.
