Prosecutors Grilled Trump Junior This Month Over Inauguration Spending

Earlier this month, Donald Trump, Jr. was grilled by investigators in Washington, D.C. about payments made by the Trump Inaugural Committee back in 2017. This investigation has been going on or quite some time, and Junior isn't the first of the Trump kids to have to go and face investigators about what really went down. There's all kinds of different, you know, threads within this one particular, um, scandal, I guess you should call it. Uh, but basically it all amounts to, yes, the Trump inaugural committee raised ridiculous sums of money for this inauguration. Uh, they paid tons of money to different hotels, including the Trump hotel in Washington, DC and investigators believe that, uh, there was a lot of price gouging. There was a lot of phony invoices. There was a lot of, uh, fraudulent spending and that's what they're looking into because that is what they believe. Again, nothing's been proven yet. No charges have been filed, but on February 11th, Donald Trump Jr. Had to come in and answer

About what the heck exactly went on. So that's probably not that good for him not to mention the fact that his sister Ivanka had also, uh, had to go and talk to these investigators in DC. So yeah, the whole Trump family is kind of just not having a good February in general, but I think this one in DC, I don't know that there's going to be a whole lot to it.

That's the fun one, because if they're now roping in Trump Jr. On this, it's only a matter of time before they pull in Eric as well. Because Eric, as we know, was running the company for the last four years alongside his brother, Donnie, Jr. Donnie Jr. A little bit closer to Trump himself. He was the gatekeeper for Donald Trump's financials, actually the keeper of the trust. So that's why he is probably going first, but Eric was right there with him when it comes to running the company. And as I explained over at ring of fire earlier this week, Trump Jr. The reason they may be looking into him now is because they've been digging through all of these documents and seeing if there was any bank fraud or tax fraud. And if they found those threads and they followed them and they're now looking into Trump Jr. It may mean that that particular scheme was continuing during the time that Donald Trump was president of the United States. Both of these investigations time will tell both could potentially carry very serious criminal penalties,
