A new report from the daily beast this week, uh, where they had actually spoken to two people. Who've been in close contact with Donald Trump and have had conversations with them about this. Say that the former president is preparing for Republican candidates to come and start basically kissing the ring and begging him for his endorsement. And even though he doesn't have any official criteria set yet on who he will or will not endorse. One thing, these two sources told the daily beast is that the big idea he's kicking around is that he doesn't want to endorse the one that admitted Joe Biden won the election. I mean, let alone any of them. Publicans who voted to impeach him. They can forget that. Not that they'd seek it anyway, but according to these sources, if you admitted that Donald Trump lost in 2020, you're probably not going to get an endorsement for this guy.

What Trump is looking for are Republicans who are willing to continue to spread his big lie. And the big lie obviously is that this election was stolen, even though it wasn't. And that Trump should still be president, which he shouldn't. If you do not meet those criteria, the likelihood of you getting an endorsement is extremely low, but let's be real about something here, folks Trump's endorsement. How good is that been? Like how good has that stamp of approval been for Republicans over the last four years? Uh, I know his record in the special elections that took place throughout his presidency is a Bismal. I mean, a couple dozen special elections, only a handful of his hand picked people that he endorsed or that he even went and rallied for one. So yeah, he, he doesn't have a great track record. Your more likely to lose at this point, if Donald Trump endorses you.

But the one thing I really don't get about any of this is why Republicans are still so desperate to seek this former politicians approval. They didn't do this with George W. Bush. They certainly didn't do it with HW Reagan, who they worshiped as a God. He essentially disappeared after he left left office. So what the hell? Right? Why this guy, what makes him so special? It was far less successful than any of those Republicans. I just named far more hated than any of those Republicans. I just named, including George W. Bush. And yet he still insists that he's going to be the King maker. That he's going to be the guy you've got to go to. And if you don't get his approval, your, your career is tanked. This makes no sense. And it's absolutely idiotic that Republicans continue to feed this, you know, as well as the rest of us do that. If he endorses you, that's not a good thing. When the man only has a, what? 30, some odd percent approval rating people don't like him. People are glad that he's gone. Why would you take this hated figure and prop up and say, Hey, you should vote for me because the guy you hate happens to like me. Yeah. That's a pretty stupid strategy, which is why, by the way, I, 100% endorse it for Republicans lineup outside. Mar-a-Lago starting today begging for that endorsement. Because as we have seen over the last four years, it is essentially a kiss of death.
