Given the way the campaign was set up and run, it could potentially pose serious legal questions that the musician may have to answer for investigators. The main issue is that some of these Republican advisers were not paid - or at least the campaign failed to disclose those payments - and that's where potential law-breaking comes in. A new report from the daily beast came out on Friday and it revealed that Kanye west failed presidential campaign in 2020 was in fact, at least partially being secretly run by a bunch of Republican operatives. And what this means is that you had a bunch of Republican law firms, Republican strategists, Republican operatives, and of course, Republican organizations, Republican consultants, everybody that this report identified could be traced back to the actual Republican party. Many of them traced back to Trump himself, and those were the people that Kanye west had running his campaign. So it's very obvious why this campaign even started to begin with. Obviously Kanye was a big Donald Trump supporter. So why run against him? Well, the answer is obvious. They, they wanted him to be a spoiler. They wanted him to siphon for OS away from Joe Biden. Now none of that is illegal, right?

None of that even raises any kind of red flags for investigators, but, and, and, and honestly, that's actually what most of the report focuses on like, oh, it was all these Republicans. Yeah. It's you did great reporting. Don't get me wrong on that. But at the same, yeah, we could all pretty much gather that what should and is raising some red flags for investigators is the fact that most of these people weren't paid by the Kanye west campaign. There there's no record of them existing anywhere in the campaign filings. And of course, apolitical campaign has to report every single dollar that goes out the door. Every dollar that comes in the door, everything has to be accounted for to make sure this isn't some kind of big money laundering operation, right? Well, they didn't do that. So people that are own to have worked on the campaign don't show up anywhere in the campaign, finance disclosures, no payments were made to these people, or they made payments and didn't report them no matter which way that falls, that's illegal.

You, you can't pay somebody from a campaign and not report it. And you can't have somebody work for your campaign and not report that you are not paying them either. And here's why it is perfectly legal for an individual, whether it's a law firm, a consultant group, whatever it is to donate their time to a political campaign, right? They don't have to give you money in exchange for your services. But what has to be done at that point is that your time and effort is considered an in kind campaign contribution. And at that point, it is then subjected to campaign finance limits, which means you cannot just give unlimited amount of your time or legal services or consulting services or whatever it is. You can only do it up to the legal limit that you would be allowed to donate in cash. So if your services are worth, you know, $2,000 an hour or one of these, you know, high priced, uh, law firms out there, you could only donate enough hours to hit that legal campaign limit.

And because the campaign did not disclose these payments or these potential inkind campaign contributions, there's no way of knowing if any of these exceeded the legal limit myths. And that is where the issue comes in. The legal issue comes in, and that's what investigators now need to focus on. As for the other part of this, the spoiler part of the campaign, right? Everybody saw this coming a mile away. I mean, we all knew that that's what this was. Kanye west loved Trump so much, but the only reason he on against him was not because he wanted to be president, but because he wanted DEC siphon votes away from Joe Biden, which of course is why these Republican operatives were involved in this, cuz this was not a serious campaign. It was never a serious campaign. All they wanted to do was take off voters away from Joe Biden in certain swing states in order to hand Trump the election. And now they may find themselves involved in a very serious campaign, finance violation, legal investigation, as a result of that. And of course, as we all know, it didn't work to begin with.
