Donald Trump is showing his anxiety over the investigations taking place into his company in New York by suing the state Attorney General to try to shut down the investigation. Trump's lawyers argue in a new lawsuit that the investigation is a violation of his Constitutional rights, but this is about as weak of an argument as you could imagine. Yesterday, the New York times revealed that Donald Trump is officially suing New York attorney general Latisha James, because he believes that this investigation into his company taking place in New York, that's been going on for nearly two years. Now it's a political witch hunt that according to his lawyers violates his constitution rights. That is actually what they declared in their lawsuit, which is attempting to stop this investigation. They're actually asking the courts to shut down this investigation that yes has already resulted in criminal charges because apparently that just violates everybody these constitutional rights. Oh man. If you ever get accused of a crime, I guess you could just use that excuse, right. Go to court and be like, prosecuting me violates my constitutional rights. And therefore you can't charge me case closed, your honor.

Yeah. They're gonna laugh you into jail for that one, because this is one of the dumbest legal arguments that I have ever seen come from Trump's lawyers. And trust me, we have seen some doozies just this year, but this is really bad. This is stupid. This is a stupid legal argument. And honestly, I think Donald Trump may have a case for malpractice. Like that's how bad this argument is. That's how stupid this legal argument is. Let me read this . This is what the New York times report the suit filed in federal court in upstate New York, by Mr. Trump and his family real estate business argues that Mrs. James inquiry, which has lasted more than two years has violated Mr. Trump's constitutional rights. Mr. Trump and his lawyers have long argued that the investigation was politically motivated. The lawsuit asked a judge to agree and to stop the investigation. James mission is guided solely by political animus and a desire to harass, intimidate and retaliate against a private citizen who she views as a political opponent.

That's speculation, which as we all know is not allowed in court. They're making stuff up. They're making stuff up because Donald Trump is getting desperate. They're making stuff up because Donald Trump appears to be panicked at this point. Why waits on now? Why didn't you file this lawsuit a year ago? Why didn't you file it the day you left office? Why didn't you file it in the summer after criminal charges came out against both your organization and Alan, Weisselberg your chief financial officer. Why not? Then why wait till right now you see the timing of it is what is so odd. Of course the legal argument being absolutely laughable is one thing. But the timing's another, as you say, in your filing, this has been going on for two years. So at any point in the past two years, but especially once they filed criminal charges against your company and your guy, you could have filed this lawsuit saying, all right, this is political harassment, but you didn't do it.

Something has happened that I'm assuming the public doesn't know about, but you do. something has happened to make Donald Trump panic enough to where now he is trying to get this thing shut down with urgency. I imagine we'll eventually know what that thing is, but there is no doubt in my mind that a thing has happened that we will again, eventually become aware of. So a thing the Trump organization has been indicted on state tax charges. Um, and the case also implicates, obviously Trump's CFO Allen Weisselberg, who has also been charged. So you can't argue that an investigation is purely politically motivated when it has already resulted in criminal charges. You know, let's get just to the legal heart of it. This investigation has already bore fruit. There are criminal charges. People are facing jail time, depending on which way their trial goes for what has been uncovered here.
