4:42Now PlayingIf you were wondering how desperate Republicans have gotten with their attacks on the January 6th Select Committee, then you need look no further than Matt Gaetz. During an appearance with Marjorie Taylor Greene this week, Gaetz complained about the fact that all of the Committee members, in his opinion, are physically "ugly people," as if that has anything to do with anything. But if you have no other attacks then I guess that's what you go with. Farron Cousins discusses this.

During an appearance this week on, I believe it was Marjorie Taylor Green's podcast, but maybe it was Matt Gates's podcast who knows, who cares because these idiots shouldn't be hosting podcasts. They should be focused on, you know, being in Congress may, maybe y'all should go back to your districts every now and then, and actually talk to people. But either way, Matt gates made the comment that the people sitting on the January 6th select committee are just physically, he says ugly inside and out ugly, but he made it a point to tell us that these people physically are ugly. So here is Matt gates, his own words, trashing the committee because apparently he doesn't find them attractive enough. Here it is
That this show business it's so business it's just show business. They don't show, show friends that call it, show business. And that's what this is. And you know, I guess they say politics is show business for ugly people. And no one embodies that more than Liz Cheney, Adam kin, or Adam Kininger, uh, that
Nobody cares about
By the way, Thompson, uh, you know, uh, little Jamie Rakin and these are fundamentally like ugly people on the inside and out. And I think that's that's, what's let go through
The list. Hold on. Let's go through the list. Let's talk about the January 6th committee.
Now. I don't know about you, but personally, I don't give a crap what these people look like physically. It, it doesn't bother me. It doesn't entice me. It doesn't excite me and it doesn't make me feel weird, but apparently with Matt gates, it does. But I also gotta tell you, I'm not gonna be taking, uh, uh, opinions on people's appearances for a guy that may have had sex with an underage girl. Right? I mean, isn't that what the investigation is looking into? That's one of the claims they're looking into. So yeah, I would rather listen to people who haven't been accused of having sex sex with underage women. You know, that's, that's just my opinion, Matt, but you know, you do you, I guess, and of course, I'm not saying you did it, but you have been accused of it and you're being investigated for it.
Maybe you're innocent. We'll see when it all comes out. But, uh, what does the physical appearance of this January 6th committee have to do with anything, right? What does that have to do with the hearings? The answer of course is absolutely nothing. Nothing at all, which coincidentally is what Matt gates and Marjorie Taylor green have to attack the committee. Nothing at all. If, think about that for a second. If you're having to resort to physical attacks, not, you know, physical attacks, but attacks on somebody's appearance, right? That means that you cannot substantively refute what they're saying. You know, you can't go after 'em for any of the content. You can't go after 'em factually, cuz you don't have facts on your side. So what do you do? You go out there on this idiotic little podcast and you say, oh, they're just ugly. I'm not sexually excited by any of them. And that makes me angry because at the heart of it, right? Isn't that what it is, Matt? I mean, why else would you be judging their appearance? Is that just who you are? What you do. You look at everybody and you rank 'em between one and 10, you know, doable, not doable because what a sad, pathetic way to go through life.
But again, it has nothing to do with the work of the committee. If you had any real, real evidence to attack this committee, anything to actually go after them for you would be doing it. But you don't. So you resort to these little petty school yard attacks, which of course is what people who went to school with. You said you were, you're a bully. You're a party guy. You're the big frat bra. You're a loser is what it is. Your mentality never evolved beyond that high school slash college frat boy mentality. All your other friends grew up, but they have all made it a point to tell reporters over the last year, since this scandal broke involving you, that you never did grow up. You've still got that same idiotic immature mentality. And now you're bringing it to Congress to tell us who's hot. And who's not as if that matters to anything happening in this country today.
